A weekend to indulge in the pleasure of felt making and to create a cosy pair of slippers for the cold Winter ahead.

I have made slippers for 20 years and learned much on that journey. I am delighted to offer a workshop in this skill to pass on my knowledge . It is physical and taking the process over two days allows you to enjoy the design process as well  as the making .

You don’t need to have previous felt making skills to create a wonderful pair of slippers.
You will learn how to size a resist for shrinkage
What sheep breeds are better than others for hard wearing
What type of soles are suitable and  scaling up and down sizes

Workshop is from 10am to 4pm each day although we envisage people working later in Saturday.
We have some accommodation available and there are local facilities  also.
Cost for this workshop is £140 with materials and nutritious light lunch included
