Janet Renouf Miller has been such an influential woman in Scotland’s textile history.
I ,like many others learned how to spin with Janet as well as crochet and it was at their studio in Loch Doon that I first got sight of how felt was made. She has a lot to be responsible for but we have remained friends over the years.
I am delighted to welcome Janet as part of her cycle around Scotland and crochet event – to read more on this visit www.createwithfibre.blogspot.com but even better come and meet this lovely lady here in Dalmally Argyll on Friday .
An informal textile celebration and mini workshop on crocheting flowers will be available free of charge. Bring a crochet hook and some wool if you have it or any project you might be working on …but if you have never tried before we will have lots of spare tools and materials for you to work with.
Drop in for a cuppa and a chat or bring food to share and stay the day. This is Janet’s rest day on her bike challenge so she will stay at Dalmally Station …we may well be playing with fibre well into the evening
